Power of one - the power of one evil book
10 February, 2003 @ 2:49 pm

We are reading "Power of one" in our English Lit. class, and excuse my profanity, but that book has got to be the shittiest crap on Earth. I spent nearly one and a half hours reading it and I only got to page 25. Besides, it's stupid. Mainly it's about apartheid and as much as I realize that people need to know about that, like about Halacaust, so they can prevent future apartheids, but please, why should we read about some five year old guy who knows nothing about life and who gets picked on because he wets his bed? I need to read first 70 pages by this Friday and write 2 pages of notes, but we both know I won't do that. What kills me the most is that Hannah finished the book over the weekend, and she was as busy as me. What's up with that? Am I really that dumb and can't read? On the other hand, person as smart as Hannah is likely to be fast reader. And actually understand what stupid shitty books are about. I'm not saying I won't read it - most books have shitty first 50 pages, but I mean, couldn't we read some classic, like Tolkien, or something else - whatever! I love fiction much more than real things, because real life tends to be boring. Not mine though, at least not the last couple of days. See next chapters for updates.
