Talking to my Mom
30 October, 2002 @ 6:17 am

Guys can never understand a lot of things about girls. Just as girls can never understand the way guys think. We would never know what's going on in their minds. So talking to Shalom about my problems didn't help. Desparately I needed a guy who is fairly smart, wouldn't blow me off, and doesn't give a damn about what's going on in my life. I thought that kinda guy would be easy to find. No. I spent good half hour calling every one of my guy friends, but none of them were home. In my misery I started calling everybody, whose phone I could find. All of my girlfriends were home, but they were having dinner. Sophie was the only one who had some time to talk to me. One-minute conversation "Can you give me smart guy's phone number" turned out to last for good 25-35 minutes. Ok, so she wasn't a boy, but she was a very experienced young lady. And afterall, she gave me pretty good advice. To talk to my mom. Afterall, she is my mom, and not only she might help me, but it would help us keep our relationship going. And it did. I say, my problems didn't go away. I still have low level of confidence. I still don't know what's going on in a guy's mind after he is rejected. I have no clue if High School love is true or myth. But I still had great time talking to my mom about all that yesterday. I should not forget that she is far more experienced and smarter than I am...
