Interview
26 January, 2003 @ 4:29 pm

I was interviewed by Ew-Interviews, but even though eventually they will post in on their site, I want to have the answers in my diary. I liked the questions. =)

Q: Give a short description of yourself. Why are you so much more special than anyone else?

A: My name is Anastasia and I am special because so many people believe I am special and make their lives a little better. I am very open and very closed person at the same time. I will share my life with you, every bit of it, I will pour my emotions down for you, but if I see that you are not interested, you will never hear from me again. I fear to be annoying. The only friends I have are the ones that accept me for who I am. If I am not accepted I will try to be, but I have a low chance of being so. Most of the time I feel like I don't fit-in and that feeling is quite new for me. My whole life I lived in one place, had awesome friends I knew from when I was a baby, and once I moved it all changed. I had to make up myself all over again, and it wasnt easy. I am still working on correcting the mistakes I made. I will be all life.

Q: Why did you decide to start keeping an online journal?

A: A lot of people I knew from school had diary in diaryland, so I just went ahead and decided to be one of them. I kept my diary for month and a half, updating once a week or so. Then on the long weekend I decided to stop dreaming of my diary becoming like Chelsea's or Dot's, and try to make my own better. So I changed diaryland default layout to Tstic design and I never changed it since. It's truly the best one I've seen so far. I signed up for reviews, I wrote with passion and emotion. I had to get it right...

Q: Who designed your journal? Or do you still sport one of those horrid Diaryland templates?

A: I used one of the Tastic designs and I really love it. It really is the best designs I've ever seen. Even though it's imageless, and for some people too bright, I really life it. It's just like me - bright, loud and afraid to change.

Q: How do you feel about that default D-land design, anyway?

A: I like orange one. I despise nave blue one. I am indifferent to the rest.

Q: Does it bother you when people use incorrect grammar/spelling in their entries? wUt uhBoUT pEEpZ hOo tIpE lYkE dIs? or maybe no capitalisation...

A: Well, I wouldn't say that my grammar is perfect, since I am non-English speaker, but I am working hard on it. I don't mind when people use "u" instead of "you", or "4" instead of "for", but I do mind when someone has to StAnD oUt By TyPiNg LiKe ThIs. Although rarely, time to time it's quite amusing.

Q: Do your "real life" friends know about your journal? If not, what would happen if they found it?

A: They do know about it actually, and they are welcome to read it. Some of the people added me to their favorites =) Since I locked my journal though, only the ones that know password can read it. He he, I am tricky.

Q: If you could have four wishes (yes, I am kinder than your average fairy godmother), what would you want?

A: First wish - for all my family to be healthy and live happily for a long time. Second wish - To find cure for the major diseases, like cancer and AIDs. Third wish - to never lose the sight at the end of the tunnel. And finally fourth one - to always remember that I shouldn't sit around and wish for something, but do something to make some of my dreams come true.

Q: What is the one tangible thing (not person, thing) that you could never, ever stand to lose?

A: My diary. It is something sacred for me. that is not just the brief summary of my day, those are my emotions, my wished, my dreams, and everything that haelps me to survive.

Q: Why did you want to be interviewed?

A: Because I am sucker for attention. The secret is revealed.

Q: If I recall correctly, there was a time when you weren't so fond of Lord of the Rings. What caused your sudden conversion to obsessiveness?

A: That is the best question you could ask. It requires a long answer. =) Prepare for this.

I have always known of the book The Lord of The Rings, but I have never tried to read it, because I'd assumed it was boring and for adults. I went to watch FoTR last winter and I hated it. The only nice thing about it was that cute elf-what's-his-name. Whatever. Right after New Year my parents decided to go and watch TTT, and I decided to tag along and watch that cute elf. Whatever his name was. But I was damn sure I would sleep through the movie. And here it was, before my eyes, filled with grand music, Legolas, Aragorn and Frodo. Yum. Anyways, the next day I took the book out and decided to try and read it. No one made me do it, I could stop any time. Or I couldn't... Loved it, loved it, loved it. Spent my allowance on watching that movie again, and again, and again, and also on second and third book. Not only that, I also made my dad read The Hobbit and the trilogy. I haven't finished it yet, for it's real hard to read. I have to read it with dictionary, and look up a lot of words. But still, it is enjoyable. I <3 LoTR!!

Q: You mentioned in a 13 January entry that you believe that each of our 15-ish reincarnated lives are completely predestined by God, who will decide whether we deserve to go to Heaven or Hell at the end of our last life. Do you really think that God has to choose where you go in the end, or has He predestined that from the beginning? (Or make some other comment on your predestination/reincarnation thoughts... I wanted to ask some kind of question about it and couldn't decide what (= )

A: Well. God has predestined all out 15 lives, but not the outcome. He predestined the date we are born and the day we die, what we do for living, what we end up like. But it's the details that count. Do we, as human beings, make an effort to be better, or do we just live, not even trying to break the borders of life we are limited by. Gopd predestines our lives, but not what is going on in our souls. We are the masters of our souls. So let's make something of them.

Q: I noticed that you've read Adrian Mole. I've read it, too. Did you love it? I did. Do you think the whole world should read it? I do.

A: It's one of my favorite books actually. It's the book I would take on the desrted island and I would read it for the rest of my life. I can just open it and start reading from any page. I read it so many times, I know some of his entries by heart. I've read it so many times, the book is all old and the pages are loose. Ahh, I just love it. =)

Q: Is it weird to live in a place where you have to speak a language that isn't your first language? What language do you think in?

A: It really is weird to live around people who think on language that differs from yours. I've found a way to cope with it though. I write my dairy in English, all five of them that I have, and that is one step forward to thinking in English. I think in Russia though. And I write in Russian too, because I have much better way with words. Hmm...It's funny, sometimes I see dreams in English. It's really weird though. I wish for all of you guys ti never live in a country where people think on language different from English. It is quite a test for one's soul.

The thinner it is, the easier it is to part. Make an effort to have it thick.
