Halloween was great! Everybody in school wore absolutely awesome costumes. Shalom and Bran were twins - they wore the same thing, curled their hair, and they wanted to pin up together with safety pins, but it didn't work out. Erin wore her purple boa. Some other people that I don't know wore absolutely awesome costumes, like the peanut costume made out of foam, or the gorilla costume, and I also loved girls in 60's dresses. So disco...

In the evening Shalom, Bran, Erin, me and some other girls gathered at Bran's house for some pizza and then we moved out to go trick-or-treating. Actually we were doing community service - getting canned food for a food bank. So after traditional "Trick-or-treat" one of us would step up and ask for canned food. We didn't get a lot, but I think what we got was pretty good. So not only we had fun, but we also saved a couple homeless from hunger, which is pretty good. I felt like I've accomplished something.

Overall this Halloween was great. I mean, I don't have that much to compare to - it's only my second Halloween. They don't celebrate Halloween in Ukraine, and I think they really miss out. Last year's Halloween was incredible - me and couple of other Russian girls went to haunted house, then we trick-or-treated for around 3 hours. I got so much candy that after eating all that I got four teeth cavities. Good thing I had my teeth checked. And after-trick-or-treating we all went to Mrs. Lelchuk's house and had a nice cup of tea, telling her about our first Halloween. Even though I had a chance to talk, I didn't. I just sat there listening to everybody else. I was too tired and overwhelmed to talk. All I could do was sit in the warm kitchen, eat ghost cookies and sip hot tea. And life was good...
