It's a miracle. I can smile!!

I want to quote part of Steph's entry in my guestbook. "I came to find out that I had envisioned this wonderful, great guy...the perfect guy in my mind. It wasn't really him."

And that got me on the subject of perfect guys and girls' imagination. First thing, there's no such thing as perfect guy. Just as there is no perfect girl. Everybody is unique, and different, and perfect in their own thing. Second of all, girls, who tend to be the romantic ones, often romanticize their relationships. Their boyfriends in particular. Especially after the relationship is over. Some girls break up with their guys and months later they look back and think "We had such a perfect relationship". They remember about the flowers, about moonlight strolls, about gentle kisses... They remember how good he could listen and the way he could always make her smile... What they don't remmber is that he also made her cry, cost her a lot of breakdowns and closer to the end was acting like an ass he is. And if they are lucky, they find themselves a great guy who is much better. If they are not lucky, then they waste a lot of their time thinking about the perfect relationship they never really had.

He could make me laugh, he made me feel special, he made me feel safe and we cared about each other.

He was dumb, irresponsible, immature, and blah blah blah.

How I wish some of those girls could understand that. Remember that. Live that.

I had a good day, from the beginning to the end. Thanks for asking.
